  •  Parenting Courses(Various Locations) a very wide range of approaches to supporting mums, dads and those caring for children and young people. Some provide support in the family home for one-to-one support. Some are group-based in early years settings, health clinics or centres, schools as well as local communities including the faith and voluntary sector . . .
  • Barnardo's Moving Forward Project-Barnardo’s Moving Forward Project works with Surrey Short Breaks to empower young people aged 12- 18 years old who have a disability or learning difficulty living in Surrey. The aim of the service is to promote life skills and independence , provide opportunities to socialise and make friendships. The service also gives young people a voice to express their views on services, community resources and issues that affect their lives.See the flyer here

  • Mary Frances Trust The Mary Frances Trust is a local charity providing non medical support for people with mental ill health in Epsom and Ewell and Mole Valley. The main focus is on people's well being and making sure they can achieve their full potential and their own goals. Services provided include advice and information, support to access training courses and volunteering positions, IT courses and assistance as well as many group activities. Individuals may self refer.

REIGATE AND BANSTEAD

  • East Surrey Face2Face- a group of volunteers who are parents or carers of a disabled child. Coffee mornings at the Sovereign Centre on the last Thursday of each month in term time from 9.30 till 11.30 and at the YMCA Banstead Children’s Centre in Horseshoe on the first Tuesday of the month in term time from 9.30 to 11.30.
  • Yippee Yippee is the YMCA’s warm and welcoming playscheme for children aged 5-11 with a wide range of disabilities and complex needs.

    Yippee provides age appropriate activities for children, ensuring that they can play with friends and try out new activities, whilst giving families some support.

  • YTots Activities for Under 5’s in Redhill & Reigate. Provides a range of activities which are great fun and help with developing young children’s communication, coordination and social skills.

     All activities run term-time only and are held at their centres in Redhill and Reigate:

     YMCA Sovereign, Sliphatch Road, Reigate, RH2 8HA - every Friday 10.30-12.30 - Term time only

SPELTHORNE

  • Spelthorne Disability Sports Club - Saturday mornings (term time only) from 10.15 – 11.45am at Spelthorne Leisure Centre in Staines. It is a multisport club with a variety of activities each week. The club is open to children and young people with disabilities aged 5 – 25 and their siblings.
